DIY - Personalized poster

Wednesday, July 29, 2020

With a beautiful wall decoration you can easily brighten up a baby room. But isn’t it even more fun to add a personal touch?! In one of our previous blog posts we already showed you how to create your very own rainbow wall hanging. We have another idea to create something unique for the wall; a personalized poster!

Of course, a colourful poster in a nice frame or on a poster hanger makes the room cosy immediately, but you make it even more special with some small adjustments. How about adding the name and date of birth of the new-born, for example. Piece of cake, when you are blessed with beautiful handwriting. If not, you can also select a nice font on the computer and type out the name. Use a pencil to copy the text to the poster hanger or frame. Make it final with a fineliner and erase the pencilled work. Now, your poster is ready to be hanged!

You can also use letter stamps to add text. Or, instead of the name and date of birth, you can add a beautiful quote or the carefully chosen text from the birth announcement. There are lots of variations possible.

Excited to get creative? Little Dutch offers a range of different illustrations, so you can get started right away. Add that personal touch to your baby’s room, or create an extra special maternity gift.
